I received a phone call where they insisted on knowing my full name. When I inquired about who was on the line, they repeated the request for my details, which struck me as rather dodgy-almost like a trap! I opted not to divulge my name and pointed out that they were the ones who rang me first. Despite my insistence, they pressed on, insisting it was related to a business issue, yet refused to share any further information. I found the caller quite abrupt and rude, and I can't help but question why, if they’re the ones making the call, they wouldn’t already know who I am. If they don’t, then how on earth did they get my number? Eventually, I discovered the call was linked to Provident!

Provident called me and refused to say who they were, but wanted me to give them my details first. That’s not how it works at all. After a quick search, I figured out who they were. Got a call from someone who wouldn’t say who they were, kept going on about ‘security reasons’ for not telling me. Honestly, that sounded like rubbish to me. There’s no good reason why Provident couldn’t say who they were - I think anyone’s entitled to know who’s ringing them up. If they’d just been upfront, I wouldn’t have minded chatting. Caller ID showed it was Provident.

just got a call but as usual i didnt pick up. if it was provident they’d call from a landline. im a customer and thats always how they contact me - or the rep that sorts my stuff leaves me messages. so this is either a call centre or someone trying to scam. wouldnt bother answering even tho some ppl here say its provident.

Today I had a missed call from an unknown number, but I didn’t pick up since I usually avoid answering calls from numbers I don’t recognise. Provident would normally ring from a familiar number, at least that’s been my experience as a customer. Whenever their reps need to contact me, they either call me personally or their office gets in touch through a landline. So, despite what some might think, I wouldn’t put my faith in this call. It’s probably just another call centre or, as some others mentioned, another scam attempt.
