Got a text saying Binance> then it asked if I’d been travelling and mentioned a login try in Moscow. Then it gave a number to call, 0800 208 4201, if it wasn’t me. Seemed a bit dodgy so I didn’t ring. Definitely felt like a phishing message.

Some company with a name I couldn’t catch said they’d slash 20% off my phone bills. They kept talking over me and dodged every question. Really pushy too. Then they said I’d have to pay £20 just to take my number off their list and warned they’d keep ringing if I tried to complain about them.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from 3, my mobile provider. They were pushing me to buy an upgrade and then tried to flog me a new SIM card. Kept asking how much I was paying each month, which gave it away straight away - a legit rep would already know that. Pretty obvious they were after my bank info.

Got a call claiming to be from O2 again, but from a different number this time. They said I’d already spoken to one of their team before, and then just rambled on super quick so I couldn’t make much sense of it. Feels like they’re trying to confuse people on purpose to catch them out or something?

The caller ID shows ADJUST SOFTWARE LTD, I reckon they might be recording your voice when you answer with "Hello" to try and nick your identity or mess with your phone stuff. Its safer just not to say "Hello" if yer unsure who it is.

Total scam! They kept claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, saying they could lower my phone bill. Problem is, I don’t have a contract and never even bought a phone from them lol.

Someone said they were from O2, told me I was a valued customer and tried to get me to buy an Apple gadget. The woman actually started laughing and then cut the call off before I could say anything. Definitely steer clear of these calls.

08002088004 called me, but I couldn't really figure out which company it was from. I asked at least 4 times, even said "are you with Vodafone?" and the woman said "yes ma'am." Thing is, I've been with Vodafone for over 4 years and they didn't even know my name or that I had an account with them. Feels like a scam to me, so I blocked the number. Just a heads up to everyone - be careful, don’t share personal details, and block if you’re unsure.

The caller claimed to be from EE and immediately asked about my bill, promising a hefty discount. I asked them to confirm how much I actually paid since that info should be on their system. They then claimed to be from another team and said they couldn't access that info. I pressed them for the details because it was the only way to verify who they really were. Suddenly, they went silent. Definitely a dodgy call centre, probably overseas. They rang twice with the same nonsense. Just block and ignore. SCAM ALERT!

Got a clear spam call claiming to be from EE. They started grilling me about my bill amount. Thought EE would already have that info, honestly.

Loads of calls from these lot claiming to be EE, so I played along for a good ten minutes. They said they needed to fill out some form and asked for my name, I told them it was S Cam. They clearly didn’t catch that, so I asked them to say it back to me, then they just hung up. Honestly, I find it quite fun messing about with these scammers.

Can confirm that 0800 208 8004 is definitely a scam from EE. They also ring from 029 2264 0651, same place. They try to fool you by asking if your phone ends with certain digits, which they already know since they just called you. I asked them to give me other numbers linked to my contract and they couldn’t. I asked for my birth year and they had no clue. I also asked about my current plan details and got nothing. Never give any info to anyone calling from these numbers.

Got a dodgy call claiming to be from a mobile provider, but they never gave a proper name. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from this number trying to pitch some EE deal for £10 a month, then added an iPhone 14 for another £20 a month. When I asked if they were scammers, they just hung up on me. Total rubbish. They didn’t pay attention to a word I said, so even if it was legit, they wouldn’t have convinced me to buy anything.
