Somebody rang claiming to be from Halifax fraud team, trying to scam me for cash. Thankfully I saw through it.

Got a call from a bloke with a Spanish accent, he asked for me by name and said it was about my Santander account - which is odd because I’ve never had one. I just hung up straight away. Not long after, the same number rang me back, but this time there was music, then a recorded woman with an English accent said it was Santander customer services and the call centre had closed for the day. Weird!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Barclays, said there was a fraud attempt on my debit card and they’d have to block all my cards. The call came from Indian Axcent, and they tried to get my details. I looked up the number later and it’s not linked to Barclays at all. Really dodgy.
