Had a call this afternoon from someone saying he was James Williamson from BT’s tech support. His accent didn’t match his name at all, which felt a bit off. He tried telling me there was something wrong with my internet connection but I told him I don’t use BT for my internet. After I said that, he just hung up the phone. Definitely sounded like a dodgy call to me.

They rang me a few times. First call, I picked up but they just hung up straight away. Next time, I got some guy with an Asian accent, but there was loads of noise so I couldn't really catch much. He said something about a tech department, maybe from BT? Didn't want to take the chance so I ended the call. The third time it was the same number showing up, so I just blocked them straight away.

Had a call earlier claiming to be from BT tech support, saying my personal info had been leaked. I told the guy straight away I knew it was a scam, then he just cut the call. Sounded like it was coming from some call centre overseas, probably in Asia. BT themselves confirmed it’s a scam and advised me to report it to the Action Fraud helpline, who cooperate with the police.

From what I gathered, this caller seemed pretty dangerous to me. They threw out some racist and homophobic stuff and even made threats. Not someone to mess with.

Got a call this morning around 10:41 from someone who said his name was Dave. He had an Asian accent and said he was from BT network. He was going on about some corrupt messages coming through my IP address. When I told him I don't even have BT, he started swearing at me nonstop. Proper dodgy call if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT saying my IP address got deregistered from their system. It was an Indian voice, sounded dodgy. They've rung me several times over the past few days but I just hung up straight away.

Some bloke called me twice today, sounded like he was from India or somewhere similar. He claimed to be from British Telecom, saying there was an issue with my phone line. I just told him I wasn't interested and hung up straight away. Bit annoying really.

I've been getting calls from this number non-stop, just a few minutes between each one, on our landline here in the UK. Strangely, when I answer, there's complete silence. It feels like they're holding out for me to say something to kick off a pre-recorded message or something along those lines. Quite peculiar, to say the least!
