Cheers for the earlier replies. I had just been sorting something with British Gas about an hour before, then this number called me. Didn’t pick up, but it’s probably just another sales call from them. Anyway, I’ll just block it now. If I were to complain to British Gas, I’d likely end up swearing a lot, so I’ll hold back on that!

The call came from an automated system that also asked if I wanted to opt-out of getting any more of these calls. Just a heads up if you ever get one yourself!

Got a call on our unlisted home number, no idea how they managed that. They were pushing us to pay a gas and electric bill right there on the phone. They seemed to have a fair bit of info about us but messed up the figure for the last bill. They started threatening legal steps over a bill that was just three days late.
