This chap came knocking at my door and asked if I might be interested in having my gutters cleaned, mentioning they were scheduled to work on the house across the road the following day. Curious, I inquired if the homeowner had initiated contact with them, to which he replied affirmatively. I told him I needed to have a chat with my husband first. After that, I had a word with the lady living opposite me, and it turned out she hadn't contracted them for any work at all. They seemed to be trying their luck for a quick profit. The quote he gave her was £20, while I was told it would cost me £30.
