It said I supposedly owed some money but couldn’t pay unless I handed over all my bank info. I never bothered to respond, as it just seemed dodgy to me. Definitely felt like a scam, so I stayed away.8 yearsThis week I got a letter from the number 0800171 2157 claiming the DWP owes me £40 and asking for my bank details to send the money. So I’m double checking on my computer now. Smells like a scam to me, so I’m planning to report it to the cops later on. Just a heads up for anyone else who might get the same.
