i got picked up by a scam once, it was really dodgy!

I didn’t get the call, they rang but I wasn’t able to answer.

Got a random call out of nowhere from someone saying they were BT, pushing some fancy Superfast broadband deal. They had loads of info about our account, even the name on it, and rattled off a bunch of options. I asked them to send me the offer by email to see it properly. They kept saying the call was recorded, so I should be alright, but I wasn’t having it and stuck to my email request. Then they just told me to check the website for any deals instead. Felt dodgy as hell, either a total scam or someone pretending to be BT from a different company. Wouldn’t trust them one bit.
