I fell victim to a scam.

I received a call, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to pick it up in time.

I received an unwanted phone call today purporting to be from BT, suggesting that I could upgrade to their Superfast broadband package. The caller seemed to have an alarming amount of personal information about my account, including the name of the account holder, and proceeded to list various options available. When I requested a confirmation of the offer to be sent through email, she insisted that our conversation was recorded for my protection. Still, I insisted on an email, to which she replied that I would need to check the BT website for any offers. Trustworthiness is questionable here; I’m inclined to think this is either a downright scam or someone from a different telecom company entirely.
