I found it quite a challenge to decline when that chap wouldn’t stop chatting away. Now I’m faced with the task of sending an email to back out after having called the number. Honestly, it felt like I was trapped on the line forever unless I just went along with it. I'm feeling rather foolish about the whole situation now.

I got a letter dated 25th July 2015, accompanied by a catalogue from the Eckman Company, declaring "Open now - you're a winner!" It urged me to ring the free number 08003777567 to go over some details, and it was signed by a bloke named Chris Williams. Having seen the feedback from others, I've made up my mind to chuck it in the bin instantly.

I decided to give the 08003777919 number a bell (using my landline to avoid charges) and, after a brief five-minute hold, I was connected to a customer service rep. He asked for my information and the code from the letter I'd received on Eckman letterhead. While he was verifying my prize, he offered me a chance to join Save & Win (or Win24, as it’s sometimes called) which, for a monthly subscription, purportedly gives you entries into countless competitions every year. I politely turned it down, and thankfully, there was no pressure to change my mind. Ultimately, I found out I'd scored 33 free entries into a lucky number draw. I take it they'll reach out if I hit the jackpot!

My elderly mum received a rather peculiar letter bearing the Eckman logo shortly after she made a purchase from them, which made her quite wary. So, on her behalf, I decided to give the 0800 377 79 19 number a ring. However, after being subjected to a recorded message promising to put me on hold indefinitely, I swiftly abandoned the call due to the lack of response.

I then contacted Eckman's Customer Services, and much to my astonishment, they informed me that I must dial that specific number in order to claim a prize. I expressed my concerns, believing it to be a potential scam. The representative mentioned that "they had been instructed" to direct anyone with the letter to that number.

When I inquired about the details of this so-called prize, I was once again told to reach out to the number detailed in the letter. The whole affair strikes me as rather suspicious!

I recently received a rather suspicious letter that claimed to be from Eckman, the company known for selling gardening and DIY tools - a firm from which I had indeed made a purchase. The correspondence boldly declared that I was the lucky winner of a prize and urged me to dial the Freephone number 0800 377 79 19. Curiosity got the better of me, so I rang up, only to be met with a recorded greeting that introduced themselves as Save & Win. After a short wait of a few minutes, I decided it was best to hang up and investigate further, leading me to this website. It’s clear that this is nothing but a scam. I can’t help but wonder what the motivation might be behind using a Freephone number-perhaps they’re banking on some unfortunate souls sticking around long enough to divulge their banking information. Quite the dodgy business, if you ask me!

Today, the 16th of June 2015, I got a rather suspicious letter from a chap named Chris Williams, who claims to be the Customer Service Manager at ‘Save £ Win’. Apparently, I’ve won some sort of prize, but they mentioned trying to ring me earlier to share the news. They’ve provided a number - 08003777918, which they assure is free to call, for me to get in touch regarding this so-called win. The thing is, I haven’t the faintest idea of ever entering any competition! It’s quite scandalous, really, that such individuals feel it’s acceptable to prey upon those who are older or vulnerable like this.

A letter arrived for my elderly mother tucked inside a parcel, which made me quite cautious given my concerns about such communications. The very next day, lo and behold, another parcel showed up containing the identical letter and code number. There’s definitely something fishy going on here!

I got a letter along with a parcel from a firm I've dealt with a few times before. The note said to ring Chris Williams, and so on. I tried calling them twice - once for a good 15 minutes and the other time for 20 - but never got through to a soul. What on earth are they playing at? It's quite the farce when I can't get anyone to answer. It certainly feels like a bit of a scam, doesn't it? Just feels like a complete waste of my time. Cheers, ER.

This morning, I found a letter in my postbox announcing that I've snagged a prize! The number I ought to call is 08008402977. Oddly enough, the letter is from someone named Chris Williams, who also wants me to get in touch at 08008402976. Could someone please offer some guidance on this?

Beware of Save & Win; they’re nothing more than a bunch of charlatans attempting to swindle your banking information. They'll frequently dispatch letters claiming you've surely snagged a prize and encouraging you to ring a specific number. Once you're on the line, they’ll feign interest in revealing your "winnings" while slyly attempting to lure you into some phoney lottery scheme. If you express any reluctance to share your banking details, they'll cut the conversation short without a second thought! Stay vigilant and don’t fall for their tricks!

Pray tell, who might you be, and what delightful prize have we received?

I've just been contacted by a number claiming I've won some sort of prize. The individual on the other end was a Chris Williams, who professes to be the Customer Service Manager with an organisation called save£win. They've provided an email address: [email protected]. I must confess, I haven't a clue who they are and I feel quite hesitant about picking up the phone to ring their Freephone number. Could anyone offer some guidance on this? Best regards, E.
