I've been receiving texts from this number saying I should call 0800 161 5357 about some overdue balance on my Barclay card and to sort out payment plans. I rang Barclays twice to check and they confirmed these weren't legit messages from them. It's freaked me out so much I've requested a replacement card. My Barclays account is totally up to date, so getting these messages is quite worrying.

Didn’t feel quite right, they started sharing loads of details before even asking for mine. No thanks, I’m steering clear of that one.

I find it totally unacceptable that random people keep calling and have somehow got my number when no one outside should have it. If this keeps up, I’ll have to report it to the police and they’ll be the ones telling you to stop. If it carries on, I’m prepared to take legal action through the High Court for the harassment affecting my business.

Got a message saying there was an issue with my account. Rang my bank and they told me everything is fine. They reckon it was a spoof call pretending to be from the bank.

Sometimes the number they show might be fake, or it could be one of the legitimate ones the bank uses. You really can't be certain, and you shouldn’t rely on what random posts say about bank numbers on here.

I got a call from someone saying they were with Barclays, even tho we don't have an account there. They said my phone number was connected to some kind of scam and that it was linked to a business, like a takeaway somewhere up north. I actually live in the south of England, so it made no sense. This ain’t the first time we’ve had a call like this either. If it really was Barclays calling, then they should look into it properly. Maybe someone working there with access to these numbers is behind the scam.

I've been getting calls from this number repeatedly, but the person won't say much unless I give him my full name and date of birth. Since he already had my terminal number, I rang Barclays to check if it was genuine. They actually told me to check on this website. Barclays said they can't explain why this number, which apparently belongs to them, has called me as there's nothing showing up on their system. So, I'm still none the wiser!
