For the past three months, my bills have been hit with an extra £9, and it’s been a nightmare trying to sort it out. This company has been absolutely useless, never helpful at all. I've never agreed to any of this, yet 3 have gone ahead anyway. Really awful experience.

I got messages from the number 64640 telling me to call 01225945882 about a refund. They promised to ring me back within 2 working days to sort it out, so I’m just waiting now. Hopefully it all goes through alright. Just thought I’d share in case it’s useful to someone else.

Got a random text from 82450 claiming I had called some premium number 08001577502 77272? and that £3.75 was charged. O2 are looking into it, but no idea how they even got my digits. Proper rubbish scam, I mean it’s just £3.75 but stuff like this shouldnt be allowed to happen at all.

Got a message from 81777 and it cost me £3.75 just to get it. I reported it to spar but they just said call 08001577502 for a refund. I tried calling O2 but they refuse to help me out. Proper frustrating!

Got a text out of nowhere and now they've taken £3.75 from me. Didn't sign up for any of this!

Got a couple of texts saying I was signed up for messages costing £4.50 each - got billed twice for that. Sent a stop reply and then got yet another message from a different number, same sort of thing, and got charged once more. Turns out both numbers belong to the same firm. Now my bill’s gone up by £13.50!

Got this message saying "freemsg-you've joined comp house competition for £4.50 monthly until you text stop to 82225. support pro money help? 080015775027 t&c{#](#]/2nv9gaf". Total scam, imo. It popped up on a PAYG SIM that’s never had credit and hasn’t sent a single call or text in years. Weird and dodgy if you ask me.

They’ve been taking £4.50 every month out of my account and I never agreed to anything with comp house. Feels like a total scam.

I got a call from this number saying I’m signed up for some contest and that they’ll be taking money every month. Honestly, I’ve got no idea who they are or how they even got hold of my phone number.

So it turns out I’m apparently signed up for some Comp house competition thing costing me £4.50 a month?! I swear I didn’t do that. Does anyone know how to cancel it?

If you want to stop any expensive third party premium number charges, you can just send a text saying BAR to 150 with EE. It really blocks those services from billing your phone.

Since October 2nd, I've been getting charged £3.75 every week and there’s nothing I can do about it. I tried calling 08001577502 but all I got was a recorded message saying no one was there to take my call. Really frustrating!

Over the past 9 weeks, I've noticed a £3.75 charge on my bill every Sunday, total about 9 times now. I contacted my phone network about it, and they said they’ve hopefully blocked the number. I’m going to keep an eye on my bill from now on to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

I'm getting billed £4.50 every week. I’ve texted STOP to 82450, so fingers crossed they stop it. Vodafone gave me this number 08001577502 to call but after seeing what folks say here, I'm not too sure I wanna ring it. Let’s see what happens next.

Total rubbish this lot, cant get anyone to pick up on this number and every month they keep charging me £4.50. I use Three and was told to text "STOP" but it hasn’t stopped them taking my money. Honestly, I never signed up for this and can’t afford to keep paying for something I dont even understand. Proper waste of time.

I just have an iPad but keep getting hit with charges I don't understand, total is about £60 in the last 8 months. I've spoken to three different people and they all told me they can't sort it out. Anyone know how to fix this?

Just like loads of others, I've been hit with a £16.49 fee because these lot kept texting me all month. I rang the O2 number they gave, 08001577502, but it just went straight to a voicemail message saying nobody's available! I also tried texting 'STOP' to the number everyone’s mentioning here but got nothing back. Honestly, I can't manage this extra cost along with my regular network bill, these messages need to be blocked or stopped for good!

I only realised yesterday that this firm has been taking money out of my account for nearly half a year. I tried ringing their 0800 1577502 number, but it just goes to an automated message every single time. I’m pretty sure I won’t be seeing any refund from them.

Ever since 20th December 2015, I've noticed a £3 charge popping up on my account every Sunday between 3 and 5 in the morning, coming from a text from 8881. I have no clue what it's for. I rang the number that my '3' customer service person gave me, but nobody ever picks up. I’m currently unemployed and losing £12 a month to this is just not something I can afford - feels like I’m being taken for a ride!

Got this number from Virgin Media after I got a dodgy text trying to charge me £4.50.

I’ve told Ofcom about it but honestly not sure if it’ll help much.

Does anyone know if anything’s actually being done about these scammers?

This has happened again to me. First time they charged me £14 for some service I never signed up for. Now, this number is meant to send me messages but I haven't got any texts at all. I’m on O2 and they told me to text STOP to 80333, but I still got hit with a £10 fee. What’s the deal with all this? Is there any way to get these scammers stopped for good?

Had this weird spam from some number, so I was told to text STOP to 80333. Got a reply saying I’d blocked messages from cellso-babes.com or summat. Never asked for any of that rubbish! Dunno where they got my number from, must’ve been sold or something. Vodafone seems to have fixed it anyway.

Back in November 2015, my EE bill showed a £10 charge for texts from other firms - I got four of them. After looking into it, I figured out it was a scam connected to Veoo Ltd, where they tried to say there was an issue with my computer. I just deleted the messages without replying, and I also cut off any calls like that straight away. After chatting online with EE about this, they agreed to give me back the £10.

For some reason, I keep getting billed £3 for texts I never actually get. I phoned Vodafone and they told me it’s from a company called mGage and gave me the number 08001577502 to sort it out. But when I ring that number, it just plays some endless recorded music with no option to speak to anyone. I’m dreading how much this is going to end up costing me. Still haven’t managed to get this sorted. Hope someone finds this useful.
