I usually get tons of scam calls pretending to be BT so I was ready to hang up. But this time the number showed up as an 0800 number, which BT typically use. I rang BT to confirm, and they said it wasn’t one of theirs. The guy was pretty convincing and even knew my name, which made me uneasy.
