Somebody phoned me up saying my gas meter was gonna stop working in a week. Total con!

Got a call from someone claiming to be British Gas, telling me my electric meter was going to cut out in a week. They asked for my postcode and then wanted my date of birth, saying it was to see if I could get a cheaper fuel rate. If it was truly British Gas, they’d already have my DOB on file. So I just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be British Gas. They said my meter would stop working soon and that they needed to come over to change it. Seemed a bit fishy to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Sky, saying my box was going to stop working soon. Told them that was nonsense and asked for a proper number, but all they gave me was 0800 151 2667. Weirdly, when I picked up, the caller ID showed my own number, so I can’t block it. Pretty fishy if you ask me.
