6 monthsThis was used to impersonate Barclaycard today 16 Feb 2026. I received a text from Barclaycard (the previous texts from the same number suggest it was genuine) it advised that I would shortly receive a text from a 5 digit number 60939. That text arrived and listed three transactions, two genuine and the last one not. The text asked me to reply with Y if they were all genuine or N if they were not. Before I could reply Barclaycard’s fraud team called. They did not ask for any information but asked me to confirm with Y so they could manually authorise the two genuine transactions. Stupidly I did. Luckily it didn’t work. He got me to try multiple times and then gave up. I later got a call from Barclaycard which I returned through their app. They confirmed I was talking to a scammer and blocked my card and app. Close call!Barclaycard8 monthsTotally NOT Barclaycard.
