I've received some rather dubious correspondence from this number regarding a supposed PPI payment linked to a £24 cheque they claim to have sent. To be honest, I'm quite reluctant to ring them up, as I've heard it's likely a scam. The letters state that this payment was deposited into a bank account I'm unfamiliar with, and when I pressed for details, they provided yet another bank number that rings no bells whatsoever. Additionally, the email address listed in their correspondence doesn’t seem to exist. I've gone ahead and blocked their calls, but I'm rather at a loss as to my next steps. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I received a dodgy text stating there's some 'vital document' awaiting my attention for a claim. At best, it seems like yet another PPI annoyance; at worst, if you ring this number, you might end up on a Premium Rate line that could cost you a bomb. Definitely steer clear of this one!
