It’s quite the cheeky move, isn't it? They put you on hold for ages, clearly trying to run up your bill. You get that little nudge before they connect, telling you it's a premium rate number costing 65p a minute. So, really, it's on you for dialling a 0900 number and not paying heed to the warning once the call starts. I do think Santander ought to provide a more straightforward number for their customers.

This is definitely a dodgy number that you end up dialling if you accidentally drop the '9' from the Santander customer service contact-either the 0800 9 123123 or the 0330 9 123123 versions. When you ring this rogue line, it instructs you to redial a 0900 123 123 number, which will set you back 65 pence a minute, and guess what? No one ever seems to pick up!

In May 2024, I had a run-in with some people pretending to be from Santander's fraud department. It was clearly a scam about opening a new account and sending money. I ended up keeping them chatting for about an hour just to waste their time. Total scammers.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Santander, said they were protecting my account. They then pushed me to transfer money to a different account. Don’t fall for it, it’s a scam!

So today (08/10/21) I got a weird email through my website - just one of those copy-paste messages. The phone number stuck out as being way too simple to be legit, and the bloke said his name was Paul Simon. Like, really? He was asking if I had a Facebook profile. I never even got back to him at the email he gave: [email protected]. His message was pretty blunt, which kinda threw me off. In the end, I just deleted the email from the form and hope that’s the last of it.

I called Santander about this and they admitted they've been aware of the issue for like four years but still haven't done anything, not even warned their clients. Honestly, they're just as bad as the scammers themselves.

Got a call from Santander, ended up giving my info. Then they told me to ring an 0900 number. Total scam, watch out!

I spotted this number on my bank statement linked to a couple of debit transactions online. I recognised one but the other was a bit of a mystery. When I rang the number, someone said it was Santander, so I just ended the call. Turns out, it's a dodgy number connected to some online outfits called find my manual or my manuals. Definitely a scam, watch out!

I had a very similar thing happen to me, very much like someone mentioned back in 2017. I was trying to ring Santander but accidentally dialled this number instead. Then, it played an automated voice telling me to ring another number, 0900 123 1234, which I suspect is just another dodgy scam line.

Some bloke called saying he was from Santander, but when I didn’t answer his questions properly, he got quite rude. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

i dialled this number by accident, thinking it was a santander helpline - it was supposed to be 08009123123. instead, a voicemail told me to ring an 0900 number for assistance. i’ve alerted whomever i could so they’ll look into it. definitely avoid calling this one.

I mistakenly dialled this number, as it’s alarmingly similar to the one for Santander’s customer service. Upon calling, I was greeted by a recorded message stating that this isn’t the right line for Santander support anymore, and it provided an expensive premium rate number to ring instead! How frustrating!

This caller persistently dials my home number, and I can’t quite fathom how they unearthed it since my landline is supposed to be confidential. Clearly, they're up to no good-just a bunch of con artists trying their luck!

This number has managed to ring me a staggering 14 times just today! I've no clue who they are and frankly, I'm not the least bit interested. Something needs to be done about this nonsense; it's utterly absurd!
