Got a call from someone pretending to be BT saying my internet account was about to expire. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT's tech support. They told me my internet was hacked and settings got messed up. They tried to get me to change stuff, but when i said no, the guy kept insisting he could ‘help’ me check it anyway. I asked for his phone number and just hung up. Properly pushy bloke, didn’t sound right at all.

Got a dodgy call pretending to be from BT saying my computer’s got issues - total rubbish. When I asked if they reckon their family would be proud of their job, they really didn’t like that one. Ended up getting called every insult under the sun! Haha, what a joke.

Just had another bogus call claiming to be from BT, this time they said they were from BT connections but the number was withheld. They kicked off by saying there were issues with my internet line or something along those lines. This ain't some new trick, I've heard they sometimes say they're ringing from Microsoft too. I told the person straight up I was with BT and then they hung up. They’re basically trying to get control of your computer so they can steal your online login info and stuff.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be from some "Windows support team" saying my computer had some kind of error. She asked for details, but it all felt dodgy. When I asked what company she was with, she wouldn’t say. I then asked for a callback number and she gave me 180001021100, which definitely isn’t a UK number. She didn’t sound native English either, at least not to my ears. When I asked where she was calling from, she said London. I pointed out that the number she gave me wasn’t a London one at all, and she just cut me off. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.
