I got a warning pop up on my screen and called this number, but nothing worked out in the end. I had to restore my system using a backup image to regain control. Now, I’m keeping a really close eye on my computer every time I use it. Just yesterday, I had to take another PC to the shop after it was hacked and infected with ransomware - all because I stupidly trusted a call that claimed to be from Microsoft. I honestly wish those scammers would get what's coming to them. I did tell the caller off, but I doubt it made any difference to them. Maybe I’ll ring them every day just to irritate them until they block me.

Had this annoying popup sayin that my PC was locked by Microsoft or Google ‘cause of some suspicious activity. It warned me not to turn off or reboot and asked me to ring this number. The worst part was, the computer was frozen on that screen, no way to close the message or restart properly.

Here’s what worked for me: hit CTRL, ALT, and Delete keys at the same time. That brings up the Task Manager on Windows. Then go to the ‘Processes’ tab, find the browser like Chrome or Firefox causing the popup, click it and pick ‘End Task’. That shuts the browser and gets your computer back to normal.

This morning some dodgy person hacked into my laptop, making the mouse pointer move by itself and left the number you see above. It felt like they were trying to hold my computer hostage for some ransom or something. I had to take it to my local tech guy and fork out some cash just to get it sorted. If this scumbag’s got a landline number, you’d think they could be tracked down, right? If not, what’s stopping them then?

Really dodgy scam alert - don’t ever call back if you got this number from some random pop-up on your screen. Your PC’s probably infected with something nasty. You should run a scan with something like Malwarebytes or another reliable antivirus. Avoid clicking any links or downloading attachments from suspicious emails. When unsure, ask a mate who’s savvy or check online forums for advice.
