The people behind it are fraudsters. They’re all Asian guys using very English-sounding names. One bloke, calling himself ‘Mike Warner’ (can you believe it?!), took over my computer and then started yelling at me to give him my bank info. I thought he was legit at first, which was my mistake. Now they ring me multiple times a week, saying they want to refund me if only I’d turn on my PC and help them out. This morning, I had to hold back laughing when yet another obviously Asian chap introduced himself with a super-English name, and then he threatened me, saying, “I know where you live and have your bank details,” like that was meant to scare me. It baffles me how this number is still allowed to operate.
