I got a message from someone claiming to be e-reclaim, threatening me with a CCJ lasting 6 years if I didn’t pay up. They told me to call 0800 0787506. When I asked who they were again, they just kept repeating their name. Then they wanted my postcode, but I didn’t give it. I told them I suspected it was a scam and that I’d be contacting the police. Their reply was something like "good luck with that," so I ended the call.

I called them and they were so abrupt and rude, just telling me I’d got the wrong number. But the number is right there, clear as day at the top of their letter, with PHONE 08000788506. When I refused to give any details, they actually shouted at me! At the bottom of the letter it says Easy Reclaim for PPI and they’re after my tax refund. We used them before and got barely a quarter of what was owed - my husband was due £800 in PPI but they only gave him £125. I don’t trust them, I’ll be sorting my tax money out through HMRC myself.
