I tried ringing Co-op Customer Services using the number they gave, but the connection kept cutting out. Then I got a call back from this number. When the call cut out again, I redialled it and it actually connected me to Co-op Customer Services. After the third time the line dropped, their callback showed a Sheffield number, so it seems the call was redirected. I suspect the Customer Service is handled by overseas centres now, hope the staff get decent pay. As of now, everything seems safe on my end.

Got two calls from someone saying they were from Co-op Bank security. The first time they were quite rude, and the second time they just shouted some swear words at me. Pretty sure it wasn’t actually the Co-op.

I found this number printed on the sleeve of some pink lady apples I bought from the co-op. Just to clarify, it’s not a scam or anything dodgy.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the Co-op Bank, warning me someone tried to use my card fraudulently at Argos. I told her I didn't even have an account with them, but she insisted I did and must've forgotten, and that there was money in the account. I didn't give her any details, and she said she'd shut it down and send me a cheque. Total con job. Watch out, folks!

I got a call from a woman claiming she was from Cooperative Bank, but when I asked for a number to call her back on, she got really rude. I rang the bank myself afterwards and they told me it was definitely a scam.

morning all, this number kept ringin me like loads of times, on my phone it says somethin like asian shop or convenience store. just watch out, i reckon its a scam done by some pakistani folks either here in the UK or somewhere else. no idea why they let these lot get access to 0800 numbers though! quite dodgy if u ask me.

Don’t even bother answering if this number pops up, it’s one of those fraud callers pretending to be from the cooperative fraud team. Just hang up straight away.

Beware of the number 08000686727, it's a total scam. They tricked my husband into handing over the 3-digit PIN, saying there was suspicious activity on his account. After that, they somehow got into his Co-op bank account and managed to steal £2100 from three different accounts. They even hacked his computer to do it. Really nasty stuff.

Don’t be fooled, this isn’t the real co-op! I checked with the bank myself today, and it’s a total scam. They say they’ve blocked fake transactions just to trick you into giving your info. When I called them out, they got all aggressive. One bloke even threatened to come round to my house! Didn’t go down well when I just had a laugh at him!

Got a call from some number I didn't recognise, they said they were from Smile Bank. They pressured my mum to transfer her money to a different account and got really pushy when she wasn’t sure. When she asked if they were the real bank, they just hung up. Later the same day, they rang again but this time from the Smile Bank’s official number. It all felt really dodgy and threatening.

Totally a scam. They said there was some suspicious stuff going on with a bank account that isn’t even mine. When I called them out on it, they started getting proper rude.
