I rang this number a couple of times over the past few days and someone picked up straight away. My new dryer was brought over exactly when they said it would be, and the guys delivering it were really great and helpful.

I was told to ring 0800 068 3122 to sort out delivery for a replacement, but all I got was endless music playing. Hoping I didn’t get charged for that call cos I could’ve just bought a new dryer for that price. Absolutely rubbish service and no one picking up the phone. Already annoyed and now just more frustrated.

Pretty much the usual rubbish story. Nonstop hold music, no clear answers, and no actual person to speak with about my new tumble dryer. I did ring the alternative number someone shared here (cheers for that), but all they could say was there’s nothing scheduled for delivery on my address today. Honestly, Whirlpool/Hotpoint are just hopeless. If my business ran like this, we wouldn’t last a week!

I got a call from Expert Logistics the day before to confirm the delivery, which arrived right on the 6th April as scheduled. The machine seems to be functioning well so far. Honestly, Whirlpool/Hotpoint need to sort out their communication - it was a bit lacking! - caller: Whirlpool/Hotpoint

I ordered a replacement tumble drier (Model No. 0800 068 3122) back on 31/3/16, with delivery supposed to happen on 6th April. It’s now the 5th and I haven’t had any word about it. No emails or texts saying when it’ll turn up, which is making me quite nervous. My washing is hanging everywhere - in spots you wouldn’t believe are even possible! I rang the 01270 number and picked Option 1. Someone got back to me quickly and assured me the delivery is still set for tomorrow, and that I should get a text or email soon with the exact timing. I’ll update everyone here once the drier actually arrives. Thanks to everyone who’s shared their experiences on this thread. - caller: Whirlpool/Hotpoint

I found the Hotpoint delivery phone number to be no help whatsoever. I never managed to get through to anyone. In the end, I rang the delivery firm straight on 01270754830, chose option 1, and they answered straight away, letting me know when my delivery would arrive.

Same old story like loads of others, nonstop music and no proper acknowledgement, nor anyone to actually chat with about my new tumble dryer. I gave the alternate number a go (cheers for that), but all they could confirm was that nothing’s arriving today. Honestly, whirlpool/hotpoint are just a total letdown!

Pretty much the usual story, music playing non stop and no way to speak to a real person. Im trying to get info on my tumble dryer replacement. I did ring the other contact number they provided (cheers for that) but all they tell me is nothing’s arriving for me today. Honestly, whirlpool/hotpoint have been a right disappointment! - caller: Whirlpool/Hotpoint

Big thanks to whoever shared the "01270 754 830, option 1" info! Saved me from sitting through what felt like forever of hold music. Rang the number and got straight through, they were really helpful. Caller was Hotpoint, by the way.

I've been attempting to reach this number concerning the Hotpoint tumble dryer recall (it's the one they provide), but every time I call, all I get is endless droning music. It feels like I’m on hold for an eternity without a soul in sight. I really wish they'd just return my call already!

so I found out that if you want to talk about deliveries, only 08000683122 actually picks up. they say someone’s there from 9 to 5, but honestly, it's just a total mess and pretty frustrating!

I gave the 0800 number a go and honestly, it was a total waste of my time. The customer service was rubbish. Luckily, someone shared the right phone number 01270 754 830, and I got connected quickly. Much better experience! - caller: Hotpoint

Cheers for sharing the phone number 01270 754 830, I managed to get through after just a few minutes of waiting. The team was really helpful and confirmed my delivery, plus they said they’d call me an hour before the dryer arrives. It’s a shame Hotpoint haven’t added a note on their 0800 line telling customers to contact Excel Logistics directly if they’re waiting for a delivery. It would’ve saved me having to hold for ages listening to that annoying music on their freephone number. - caller: Hotpoint

Listened to the tune for like 10 minutes and just gave up. Decided to call the number mentioned in the earlier comment - and here I am, stuck on hold!

If you’re trying to reach AO.Com’s delivery team, Expert Logistics, and the number 08000683122 isn’t answering, give 01270 754 830 a go and press option 1. I found them really helpful, way better than getting stuck on hold listening to that annoying music for ages.

Got a call from the delivery people at Whirlpool/Hotpoint, so I rang the insurance company back. They said this number is the only one they have, which is pretty rubbish service if you ask me.

Honestly, all I want to find out is when exactly my new tumble dryer will be arriving. I tried ringing Domestic and General, but they just said since the order’s been passed on, it’s no longer their problem and to keep trying the other numbers. I’ve got better stuff to do than endlessly phoning numbers that either play annoying music with no pickup or, if I do get through, I get cut off. I’m beyond frustrated now. “Complaint” doesn’t even cover how mad I am - they’re seriously going to hear it from me soon! - caller: Hotpoint

So here’s an update for you all. I was just in the middle of writing a lengthy complaint email on their site when my phone rang - it was Hotpoint! They’ve now confirmed my replacement tumble dryer will be arriving next Wednesday. If you happen to have Domestic and General, I’d really suggest giving them a ring and voicing your frustration as I did. It seems after my complaint, they got in touch with Hotpoint because less than 30 minutes later, Hotpoint called me directly! It’s taken a while, but I guess Hotpoint have come through in the end. Wishing everyone else luck sorting this out! Caller: Hotpoint.

Had a right runaround with Hotpoint. They told me 08000683122 was the only number for delivery enquiries, but all I got was endless hold music! Trying to speak with someone who actually knew what was going on was impossible. Honestly, it seems like Hotpoint could just let everyone go since no one seems to have a clue about anything. Completely pointless calling them!

I called Hotpoint on 03448224224 to cancel the repair guy since I decided to go for the £99 dryer deal instead because mine's 6 years old. They told me to ring 08000683122 but all I got was some tunes playing over and over, so I just hung up. If the tech shows up, tough luck. - caller: Hotpoint

When I called the number Hotpolnt gave me for support about my tumbledryer replacement, all I got was some music playing. Tried to reach out because I needed help with my order, but no luck. Caller said it’s Hotpolnt (whirlpool) and their email was provided too.

finally got through to someone on that number after ages of that boring music playingnonetheless, turns out this line just deals with sending out replacements so that's probably why nobody answers much (27). anyhow, they gave me a different number to ring 0800 1510905, hoping it actually connects this time!

I finally got through to someone on this number after loads of time listening to hold music!!! Seems like this line is only for arranging replacements, which explains why no one really answers it most of the time (???). They gave me a different number to ring instead: 0800 1510905, so I’m hoping that one actually connects - caller: Hotpoint

I'm stuck on the phone right now hearing that same tune. They were meant to drop off a new dryer today. The email said they'd call me the day before but I haven't heard a peep. Now I'm clueless if the dryer is even showing up. Proper annoyed since I took the day off work for this. Looks like their service is just as rubbish as the gear they sell.

Had my tumble drier “fixed” but within a fortnight it started dripping water and there was a burning electrical smell. I rang to book another repair and was told I'd get a call within 48 hours to set it up. After no contact, I called again to push for a faster fix (given the smell of burning and all), only to be shuffled around for an hour and end up with this 08000 number. Their customer service is awful. Feel free to call and enjoy the never-ending classical music loop for 75 seconds... - caller: 08000683122

Had the exact same thing happen to me in June - all I got was music and no one ever said anything about being on hold or in a queue. I need to update them about the delivery of my replacement, which should arrive on 02/02/16. The caller info just says they haven’t rung me, but I’m trying to ring them back and this is the only number I have. Really frustrating!

I've been attempting to contact Hotpoint on this number to get my tumble dryer fixed, but it's been a nightmare. All I hear is music, and none of the other numbers they give have been any help. My dryer is broken, and I'm trying to claim a replacement, but getting through to anyone at all feels impossible. Such a waste of effort dealing with this!

I’ve been inundated with calls on both my mobile and my landline. Each time I answer, I’m met with nothing but music blaring at me. It’s quite baffling, really, as there’s no indication of who’s calling or even a message asking me to hold. It’s just endlessly perplexing!

Was just rung up by Indesit/Hotpoint about sorting a fix for my dryer. Apparently, it needs some sort of tweak cause it’s not working right.
