I honestly don’t get why everyone’s freaking out about this - they’re a proper, legit company! I’ve had calls from them loads over the past 6 months and was polite but turned them down twice because my deal was better at the time. I keep a pay-as-you-go sim in an old phone by my bed, and only my elderly mum has the number for emergencies when I’m asleep and my main phone’s on silent. These morons have rung me a few times now. Gotta laugh at some of the comments here. People saying it’s a scam because they ask for your bank info. When did they offer you a contract? Of course it’s gotta be paid by direct debit, that’s just how it works. Loads of you just hang up or lie about not having a bank ’cause you panic. For the past week, this number has been ringing me non stop. The initial time it came through, I was expecting a call so I picked up. A bloke with a young voice asked how my day was, and when I said it wasn’t great, I asked who he was and where he was calling from. He just said “Glad to hear that,” which felt a bit odd. I told him to stop calling straight away. Still, the phone keeps buzzing but I don’t pick up now, and there’s never any message left.

They call me like 2 or 3 times daily, and the first time I answered they were asking for my address and stuff. It’s getting so annoying I’m seriously thinking about switching phone providers. Every time I get a new sim, it starts all over again.

For the last couple months this number’s been blowing my phone up, calling me around half a dozen times a day. I know O2 wouldn't bother like that, so it’s definitely dodgy. I picked up once and realised straight away it was a load of rubbish. Hopefully one day they’ll get caught out. Until then, just ignore it and let them waste their time. Don’t bother answering, trust me.

I got a call from this number and when I picked up and said hello, all I heard was some recorded laughter then they just ended the call ?? Strange behaviour for sure!

Dont pick up this number, its a scam. They trick you into giving them money by taking it straight off your phone credit. They’ll try to make you stay on the line by saying they’re from O2, hoping to get even more cash from you.

They ring me up twice every weekday but I always ignore it, its getting a bit too much now. I’m set on not picking up. Fingers crossed they leave a voicemail, at least it’ll cost them to call me! I reckon there must be something that can be done, but I’m going to register with the Telephone Preference Service since it helped stop calls on my old phone. Hopefully this time it leads to a hefty fine for them for breaking the regulations. I’m just curious if they’re calling from a UK call centre?
