Received a rather dubious call from a chap claiming to be affiliated with Great Getaways Australia, based in Melbourne. He mentioned they were dishing out vouchers for accommodation and the like, all for a single payment of $199. Apparently, they’re just making their grand entrance into the Kiwi market and have handpicked us - yes, a mere 50 fortunate souls in New Zealand - as the “lucky” recipients of this fantastic deal through the White Pages. Sounds a bit fishy to me. And let’s be honest, the accent didn’t sound Australian at all.

I received a call at precisely 21:32 on the evening of Friday, the 11th of April 2008. The individual on the other end chose not to utter a word, yet I could clearly discern some sort of background commotion, reminiscent of a call centre environment.

Indeed, we've encountered a bit of a predicament with this company. As for our holiday, you might want to understand what exactly went awry. They seem unwilling to reimburse us for Bushehr, as we opted for a £79.95 package, thinking it might be a bit dodgy. That said, we did have a splendid time during our break, and I must express my gratitude for the enjoyable experience. To everyone reading, we're not quite familiar with other companies, but we do wish to ensure our holidays hold a stamp of authenticity. Cheers to that!

I've just received my sixth call of the day, and each time we answer, it's utterly silent on the other end. After about ten minutes, the ringing stops abruptly. We're absolutely fed up with this nonsense!

We've been receiving calls from the number 0008000613615 since the 25th of April, 2008, and they've come in a total of seven times. The phone rings, but when we answer, it just goes silent. I’m trying to figure out whether this is linked to Great Getaways or Toucan Telecoms (0800613615). Regardless of the source, it’s quite an unwelcome disturbance and could very well be a scam, especially since many telemarketers tend to hide their numbers.

Received a call last night saying we’ve snagged some holiday vouchers for a fortnight away. Immediately felt wary when they asked for our credit card details. No chance I’d hand that over!

We recently received a call from this number, and they seemed keen on getting hold of our home phone number. Unfortunately, our line has been disconnected, so we are unable to return the call since there’s no option to do so.

I received a call from this number earlier this evening, and it turns out the folks on the line claimed to be associated with Great Getaways. They informed me that I had won a holiday to Australia, but they mentioned they would be calling back in half an hour to collect my credit card details. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

Received a call at 8:20 in the evening. There was nothing but silence on the other end before they disconnected. It’s rather intrusive and quite unsettling; feels like these businesses are turning into a pack of nosy stalkers!

Greetings! I received a call from this number and promptly informed the caller that I was on the Telephone Preference Service. He reacted with quite a bit of aggression and tried to confront me! After we hung up, it turned out he left the phone off the hook, resulting in constant ringing every five minutes with no one on the line. I've discovered that calls from this number might attempt to reverse the charges, meaning we'd end up footing the bill. We've lodged a formal complaint with TPS and are now waiting for more details.

I recently received a call from the same number, wherein they requested to confirm our postcode, claiming they wanted to offer us some low-priced gas and electricity deals. I politely declined their offer, but the tone of the caller quickly shifted to one that was quite rude. After a brief exchange, we decided it was best to hang up the phone. What a nuisance!

Received a call at 8:20 in the evening. There was nothing but silence on the line before they hung up. It's quite unsettling and comes across as intrusive-almost as if these companies have taken a page out of the psycho-stalker handbook!

Received a call from some holiday firm claiming we were picked for a getaway at the bargain price of just thirty quid! Honestly, I'm tired of this incessant cold calling nonsense. It seems to happen all too frequently. When we pressed the caller to tell us who provided them with our number, she simply claimed her company had obtained it. It really makes you ponder who actually sold our details to them, doesn’t it?

I've just had yet another call from these chaps at what I reckon is "Make our Holidays" on 08000613615. This is the third time they’ve pestered me! We only held the line for about 20 seconds while trying to look up the number online. We were crossing our fingers that someone might actually pick up, but soon enough, we stumbled upon this site and decided to hang up. Honestly, it felt a bit excessive and is quite frankly a bother. Is there any way to put a stop to their incessant calls?

I keep getting calls from Toucan, despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service. Thankfully, we didn't engage with them. It's quite the laugh, really! If you hop over to their website, you'll see they're actually promoting TPS subscriptions themselves. Quite the conundrum, isn't it?

I received a call last night from a company claiming to be Great Getaways LTD, based in Melbourne, Australia. Quite the laugh, actually! They mentioned that I was eligible for some complimentary accommodation vouchers, and they offered a free private travel agent to boot. Sounded a bit too good to be true, didn't it? Apparently, all I had to do was pay a membership fee of £199, and all they needed was my credit card number. Surely, this has to be a scam! When I tried to call back, the number didn’t seem to be valid, despite it showing up on my caller ID. What a dodgy situation!

Received a call from an Asian chap claiming to be affiliated with a company named Great Getaways, based in Melbourne. His pitch sounded all too familiar, echoing comments I've seen from others. We had our suspicions about a possible scam, so we decided to search for info while still on the line. We played along for a bit before revealing that we were aware of their dubious reputation. The lady on the other end became quite defensive and noticeably irate; a verbal clash ensued until we eventually hung up. While we couldn't verify the caller ID, she confirmed her name without hesitation when we probed further-consider this a warning! Stay vigilant!
