Somebody called claiming to be from EE but it was pretty obvious they weren’t. They kept trying to connect me to a manager and even rang me back two times. Total rubbish!

This definitely isn’t from O2. They ask you for a code they supposedly sent you, and once you give it to them, they somehow get into your O2 account. They have enough info about you to sound convincing. They promise a 40% discount and a brand new phone. Even if you say no to the phone, they send it to you regardless. Afterwards, they ring you to sort out sending it back, but end up keeping the new iPhone 14. Meanwhile, your account is tampered with - no discount, just bigger bills.

Got a call saying it was O2 wanting to give me a deal on my plan. Bit odd since I don't even use O2. Makes me wonder what the real reason was.
