Should this transaction be unauthorised, please reach out to our customer support at +44-800-058-4270." At a cursory glance, it looks as though it’s a legitimate message from PayPal, but the truth is, it’s just a fabricated note inserted by the scammer. I dialled the number, and an individual with an Indian accent picked up, claiming to work in customer support. He insisted he had to verify my details first... That raised alarm bells for me, so I mentioned it sounded fishy and right before I could say another word, he abruptly hung up. What a dodgy operation!PayPalESET4 yearsWatch out for this dodgy character! They claim to be from Microsoft or some other tech outfit, then they end up connecting to your computer. Before you know it, they're putting all sorts of nonsense on your device and trying to rope you into a pricey support agreement. All they do is feign assistance while scheming to extract even more cash down the line.
