Got a missed call from 0800 052 1251 on my phone, but I didn't pick up since I didn't recognise it. They didn't leave any voicemail either, so I just went ahead and blocked the number.

I wasn’t sure if it was really Virgin Media or just some sort of scam or telemarketing call. At first, I thought it might be a dodgy marketing attempt. I’m not about to give out or confirm any details over the phone. If I wanted an upgrade, I’d just ring them myself.

Yesterday afternoon my landline kept ringing with this number. Did a 1471 but it said calling back will cost money. Not bothered to call again... stayed neutral.

Got a call on my mobile from a lady who sounded East Asian. She had a really hard time saying my first and last name properly. Strangely, she called my mobile number, which isn’t with Virgin, instead of ringing my Virgin landline. Makes me wonder if the number was being faked?

Kept getting calls claiming to be from Virgin Media. They wanted to review my account, so I asked if they were really legit. The woman insisted she was from Virgin and had my account details right there. I just told her I wasn’t planning on making any changes. Her reply was she’d just leave the account untouched then. She spoke very nicely, honestly hope she lands a proper job and pays taxes here in the UK.

Somebody rang me claiming to be from Virgin Media and wanted me to give some personal info to verify who I was. I refused to share anything like that! I asked them to prove who they were but got nothing back. They said it was about preventing scams, but still wouldn’t say who they actually were. I just hung up. Proper frustrating!
