So today, 5th June 2026, I got a call from a number I don't recognise. Lately, I've been having issues with iD mobile - my bank says their one-time passwords aren't going through properly. Not sure if it's linked, but it’s suspicious. I'm thinking of just blocking that number altogether.

I called the ID COMPLAINTS number here in South Africa and got stuck in their automated voice asking for a mobile number and PIN. I put mine in, then suddenly it switched and a person asked me for my phone number again - I asked why if it’s all automated. Been through enough already with fraud from someone working at Carphone Warehouse, which is now Currys - turns out ID Mobile’s connected to them. I ordered something that got returned by DPD as undelivered. Seriously, be cautious dealing with these guys.
