Got a voicemail saying I'm involved in tax fraud and I need to call back right away or it'll go to Manchester Crown Court. Sounds dodgy to me, definitely a scam. Don't fall for it and ignore any messages like that!

I got a call saying I owed taxes on my National Insurance number, and they warned me that if I didn’t ring them back, I’d end up in Manchester Magistrates Court. Pretty sure it was a scam like the others mentioned here.

Just got a call, an automated voice claimed it was HMRC. When I rang back, some bloke with an Asian accent answered and started asking for my info. Pretty sure it's a scam.

Got a call from them today, left a voicemail, so I rang back. Some Asian bloke answered and asked for my full name and address, which I gave so he could supposedly pull up my ‘file’. Then he wanted my date of birth. I wasn’t having it - told him, “You’ve already got my file open, it’s right there.” Then he asked for my NI number, and again, I said no. I told him to send the cops round if they wanted a proper look. As soon as I said that, he hung up on me. Absolute scammers, honestly.

Got a call from 08000489967 saying I’d nicked a car and had 30 pounds of coke on me. They said I’m facing 9 years inside if I don’t sort it out. Proper dodgy!

About an hour back I got a call from 0800 048 9967, and they left a voicemail that sounded like it was made by a robot. They were telling me there was some dodgy activity on my national insurance and that a court had supposedly issued an arrest warrant. I'm retired, so I knew right away it was rubbish. Still, I worry there are folks out there who might fall for it. How on earth can this kind of thing not be banned yet?

I got a call from this number and ignored it at first because my phone flagged it as a possible scam. They left a voicemail with a robotic voice warning me about some supposed fraud involving my national insurance number, threatening court action if I didn’t ring back. The message kept saying “don’t ignore this” over and over, which honestly freaked me out for a bit. But then I looked up the number and found this page, which was such a relief. Thanks for sharing this info - it definitely stopped me from getting scammed! Hope this post helps others too!

Got a call from an automated voice pretending to be HMRC, accusing me of fraud and threatening me with all sorts like facing Manchester Crown Court. The whole thing was ridiculous. Honestly, this number should be reported to the police right away.

The voice was some sort of automated message, sounded like a woman with an American accent, saying she was 'Agent Dennis Gray' from HMRC.
