What a scam that was! I actually found it pretty funny, the guy started talking with some strange foreign accent, then got quiet for a bit like he was trying to get his words right, and suddenly switched to a proper posh English accent. Then I threw a question in Latin at him, on the spot, based on my own legal background. Any genuine solicitor worth their salt would’ve known the answer straight away. When I said I thought he was a scammer, he just hung up on me.

Received a couple of calls on the 30th of October at 10:18 in the morning and again at 1:14 in the afternoon. Then on the following day, the 31st, I was contacted at 11:05 in the morning and later at 6:04 in the evening.

Got a random call from someone claiming to be from Elm Legal Services who knew my name. When I asked the reason for the call, he said they were sending over some will drafting documents. I told him I already have a will and to not bother sending anything, then he just ended the call. Really makes me wonder where they got my details from. Be careful with these folks calling out of the blue, even if they use your name, there's far too many scams and phishing attempts these days.
