I’ve already blocked the number, but they persist in leaving these annoying automated voicemails. It’s quite frustrating, really!

I too encountered that rather dodgy pop-up on my laptop. I ended up giving them a ring, and they instructed me to enter this address into my Safari search bar: www.cbttr.com. The moment I accessed that site, it kicked off a download! Just a friendly heads-up - steer clear of that download! The chap went on to say that if I installed it, he’d have remote access to my machine to "sort out the issues," which is something Apple would never do. I told him in no uncertain terms to take his dodgy download and shove it!

Just had something like this happen to me as well. It was pretty worrying and they seemed really believable! The lady wanted to connect to my laptop from afar. She then asked if I was okay with that. I said "No thanks". She ended the call right after! I’m thinking of taking my Mac to the Apple store to have a look for anything dodgy on it. I probably could check it myself, but honestly, I’m not very tech-savvy! Plus, the Apple support folks in-store are always so good and helpful.

Should you receive a message urging you to ring this number on your PC - 0-800-046-5215 - take heed. To dismiss that pesky pop-up, navigate to your browser’s settings: head over to Tools, then Options, and select Privacy. Change the setting to 'Never remember history.' Once you've restarted your browser, revisit the settings and switch back to 'Remember history.' It's all a ruse aimed at parting you from your cash. Follow these straightforward steps, and you'll be absolutely fine!

I received a rather alarming alert indicating my computer was compromised. When they started probing for my email address, phone number, and the like, I naturally inquired about the necessity of such details. At that point, they abruptly terminated the call. I couldn’t help but notice the thick Indian accent and a cacophony in the background-definitely not the sort of call you want to receive!

I received a notification on my Mac that there was a serious issue with my laptop, directing me to ring this number. Upon contacting them, a gentleman spoke with an Indian accent and instructed me to carry out certain actions on my machine. I inquired whether the call was legitimate, as he hadn’t properly introduced himself, and the line was filled with static, making it hard to comprehend. He insisted that I needed to rectify the laptop situation and claimed to be affiliated with Apple. Despite my doubts about the authenticity of the call, he abruptly ended the conversation when I pressed further.

I received a call claiming my computer was infected and that I'd need to shell out £300 for repairs. They kept pushing me to make the payment so they could sort it out. As soon as I declined, they abruptly hung up! Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I received a rather alarming pop-up on my computer earlier, supposedly from Apple support, warning me that my device had been compromised by spyware and that my credit card information was at risk. It insisted that I ring a number before dismissing the window, or else Apple would shut down my computer. When I actually did call the number, an individual with a strong Indian accent picked up. Despite my inquiries about his authenticity, he just kept insisting that it was an urgent matter that required remote access to my settings. I decided to hang up at that point. I've double-checked, and there's no trace of that number anywhere on Apple's official site.

Beware of this fraudulent support call regarding an Apple virus; it appears to be a scam linked to a nonexistent Mac virus. This link seems highly dubious: http://storage.googleapis.com/apple-alert-system-failure-due-to-suspicious-ativity-xxmnm/repair-gb.html. Stay vigilant and don’t fall for it!
