They keep ringing my mum, who’s on the ex-directory list, telling her she’s getting too many calls. It’s really unfair, especially since she’s quite vulnerable. They should seriously leave her alone.

This dodgy call centre was full of muppets trying to push junk and rip folks off. The grim lady in charge paid them less than what they’d get on benefits... but these clowns were so daft they didn’t even bother applying for it. I got a call earlier and when I rang back, it turned out to be Stella, which is actually a partner firm of B.T. So if you’ve been wondering why B.T don’t act on this stuff, it’s because it’s really them behind it. Just sharing what I found out, hope it’s useful!

For years now, BT persistently calls this number trying to reach someone who's never lived here. It happens quite often. If BT's aware they're ringing the wrong place, why hasn't this been sorted out? It's been going on for at least five years! Surely someone has the power to put a stop to this nonsense?

I worked temporarily at Stellar after being made redundant, and honestly, it was a dreadful gig paying barely minimum wage with no incentives. One thing I’ll admit is that they really are official BT partners - you can find them listed on the BT website under partners. The callers undergo stricter training than BT’s own staff since they want to keep their contracts safe, and we truly aimed to help folks get a better deal. Yes, we could look up your current provider but that took ages, so we’d just ask to save time. To the 500 people I’d ring daily, sorry if I bothered you - getting shouted at by 90% of them was soul crushing, but I appreciated the handful who remembered I was just someone trying to earn a living. - from a former Stellar caller

Got a call from this number this evening, 11/02/16 around 8 pm, with a Scottish lady asking for a John Thomas! Seriously?! How desperate can they get?! And who even thinks it’s okay to call so late and invade my privacy like that? I just told her she had the wrong number and hung up - not exactly what I wanted to reply, but fingers crossed they stop bombarding me with two calls a day now. So annoying!!

I get like three or four calls every day, some with no sound and others pretending to be from BT. I decided to call BT to sort it out and they told me it could take up to 20 days before the calls stop. Honestly, I reckon BT might be sharing our info with their 'partners' or whoever. I've even lodged a complaint with Ofcom now.
