Got a call from Thames Water about some smarter home scheme - said it was free and only for SL3 areas. I told them I'd check out their info online and didn’t want to give my postcode or house number. The phone just went dead straight away.

Thames Water rang about setting up a 'Smarter Home' visit at my place in HP13. I said no since my water charges are already pretty low. They kept pushing, claiming it’s a ‘local council rule’ and that they visit ‘every home nearby.’ Oddly, they didn’t seem to know anything about my current bills or the stuff they’ve given us before to keep costs down. I’ve blocked the number now.

Just got a call from this number, but it only rang a couple of times and when I picked up, there was no one there. Maybe they'll try again and give me a proper chance to answer. From what I've read before, it seems like it's Thames Water. I’m keen on doing my bit for the environment, but I wish they’d sort out all the leaks and stuff properly first.

Yeah, it’s really Thames Water. They booked a visit to discuss ways to save water and handed me loads of freebies, like a shower timer and some new shower heads. If you’re in HP21, the lady said the council asked them to visit here due to the recent water issues.
