Got a call from some firm named Promo Veritas over in Pinner, Middlesex, telling me I'd won a Cadbury giveaway with a hotel stay in Birmingham and a trip to Cadbury World. Sounds good, right? Well, I rang the hotel they mentioned and they said they’ve never come across that company before. Don’t get fooled by this lot!

If you got a notification from the O2 Priority app saying you’ve won something but you haven’t heard anything back in a day, this is the number you’re supposed to ring. I got an automated voice when I called.

Someone called saying they're from O2 Priority, but I checked with O2 and they said the number isn't theirs at all. Best avoid picking up if it rings you.
