I've been getting quite a few calls from this number. When I returned the call, I was informed it was Scottish Power. They apologised for having missed me and mentioned that they would try to reach me again. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!

I've just switched my gas and electricity provider, and I'm starting to suspect that this might be some sort of sales operation trying to lure us back in!

I finally picked up one of those pesky calls, and it turned out to be an agency ringing on behalf of Scottish Power. They provided me with a number for lodging complaints, which I promptly used to file an official grievance. Following my complaint, Scottish Power confirmed in writing that my details have been wiped from their records, and I must say, the incessant calls have ceased. Furthermore, I raised another issue: when attempting to return the call, the response was always “number not recognized.” Scottish Power took this on board and has now instructed their agency to implement an automated message. So if you happen to call back, you'll now hear it’s Scottish Power reaching out, assuring you there’s no cause for alarm. I decided to give it a whirl myself, and to my delight, they've followed through on this request and the number is no longer shrouded in secrecy. It's quite disappointing that this hadn't been done prior. The takeaway here is clear: if you find yourself inundated with calls like this, make the effort to discover who’s behind them and lodge a formal grievance. They’re obligated to respond to your complaint-it's the law!
