Got a call from someone saying my 5-year firewall subscription is ending and they’d take £800 from my bank automatically, no chance to cancel later. When I asked what it was about, they said it was for protecting my Hotmail email account. I tried to get their name and where they're from, they said Mexican. Then when I spoke a bit of Spanish to them, they just hung up on me. Bit fishy if you ask me!

He kept ringing me up trying to scam, and when I asked his name he said Do Hector. Then I asked where he was calling from and he answered Mexico. I started speaking in Spanish and he just hung the phone up... haha Definitely a scam, don’t share any of your info with them.

This caller was very pushy and got quite rude at times. He spoke with an Anglo-Indian accent and said his name was Jeff Hunt. Back in 2019, after having my laptop repaired online, I was told I owed a certain amount for laptop protection. I let my bank block half the payment, but ended up paying the other half on my credit card. After speaking to my card provider, I managed to stop the rest of the payment. Foolishly, I gave away all my personal info because I was panicked and not thinking straight. The bloke said he was from a firm called Absolute Solutions, supposedly based in Madrid.

They said they were from Firewall Internet security and warned me i'd be charged £800 for a renewal with no chance of getting a refund. Very fishy.
