Somebody pretending to be Facebook tried to scam me, pretty clear what was going on. I’m surprised Google hasn't stepped in since they list this as the Facebook contact number here in the UK. Seems like no action has been taken.

Looks like a bunch of con artists are bragging about how amazing it is to cough up '50 qids' (or whatever that means). If you’re getting calls, emails, or dodgy pop-ups from these lot, you should definitely report them to Action Fraud via their 'report phishing' page. Make sure you follow the steps right through to the very end - that last part is really important. Over the weekend, Action Fraud teamed up with foreign police and shut down a couple of scam call centres, but they rely on everyone to send in clear, full details of scam numbers and emails for them to take action.

I tried reaching out to Facebook support but it turns out they only deal with business accounts directly. If you don’t have a business profile with them, they just tell you to sign up for one because apparently they can’t assist regular users. Bit frustrating really.
