I received a call from a chap named Patrick, claiming to be with PayPal. He suggested that I might want to halt a payment of £204 destined for someone named Mark Williams, as it was purportedly linked to fraudulent activity! His number flashed up as 0808 1645334 on my handset. He pressed me for my email, postcode, and a whole host of other personal details. I told him I'd prefer to ring him back and asked for his contact number, which he provided as 0800 0318127. After doing a bit of digging online, I discovered that both of those numbers are actually scams - what a shocker!

They kept ringing up saying my PayPal was compromised. After I blocked the first number, they tried again from 08081645334. I wouldn't give them any info, told them I’d get in touch with PayPal myself. The bloke even said to ask for his name if I called back. I just hung up and blocked them straight away. Watch out, these lot are definitely scammers!

These people keep ringin me and saying they are from PayPal, but its all a scam! So fed up with these fake calls on my phone!

This number kept ringing me like the others did yesterday, but I ignored it. A while back, somebody pretending to be from PayPal called saying they had all my details. They asked for my card info, but I wouldn’t share anything. Despite that, they somehow managed to withdraw more than £600 from my bank and even tried to take out £6000. The police are involved now trying to sort it out. The money ended up with some clothing firm in India - no shock there. Phone scams like this are really becoming a huge problem, can’t trust anyone on the line these days.

I've received multiple calls from this number, and it's nothing short of infuriating! There's always a cacophony of voices in the background, with people aggressively pressuring others for their personal details. It's utterly appalling! I received a call from this number, and it was rather alarming. They sent a verification code to me from a new number, which matched the format that PayPal often uses. The caller was quite convincing until he insisted that I provide my banking information due to a supposed hack on my IP address. I had the option to hang up but thankfully resisted the urge to share any details. I've since removed both of my bank cards from my PayPal account. Just a heads up to everyone, they seem to have access to a lot of information!

A scammer called pretending to be from PayPal, told me my password was changed so I couldn’t log in. They even knew my home address, email and the last four digits of my cards plus expiry dates. Then they asked for another bank account claiming my PayPal couldn’t refund my stolen funds because of a connection error. I ended the call, but they phoned me back about five times asking how much money was in my account for “security”. I’ve now reset my password and removed my card from PayPal, fingers crossed nothing nasty happens from this.

Just got a call from this number, some guy with an Indian accent saying I had to press a button to pay £53 to a Walter Smith, claiming he was from PayPal. I kept telling him he was talking rubbish and after a while I warned I’d report him to the fraud police, then he suddenly cut off. This bloke was really trying hard to make me believe he was PayPal but nah, no legit PayPal caller would not know your name or details. Proper scammers, watch out!

I'm so annoyed with these scammers, they really should be sorted out. I had to call my bank but was told to try again in the morning, I wasn’t about to stress all night. This number rang me twice earlier today. I chose not to pick up but checked it out on this site afterwards. A few months back I fell victim to likely these exact scammers. They had set up a fake Paypal support line after my real Paypal was frozen because they'd managed to access my account without permission. They're operating out of India and seem determined to keep trying. Seriously, don't pick up if this number calls, don't trust a word they say, and never share any info with them!
