Got a call from 08000291904 - they buzzed me about four times within just two minutes. Felt like straight up harassment!

Got a call from some utility company claiming they're running checks on brokers who get commissions for fixing energy prices. They kinda gave away their own point saying everyone’s got to earn a living. Told them I wasn’t up for any “investigation” at the moment and as soon as I tried to hang up they kept jabbering, so I had to interrupt and say again we aren’t interested. They then just said fine and hung up.

My mum got two calls from this number, first one just before 5 in the evening and another about an hour after that. Since it was a 0800 number, she almost answered but decided better safe than sorry and let it go to voicemail. There wasn’t any message either time. I told her to block and remove the number straight away.
Not sure if they just called at random or if they specifically target older ladies like her?!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a utility firm, saying they were checking for scams. I told them it didn’t concern our business and wasn’t interested. They kept pushing, quite forceful too, and had that Geordie accent a few others mentioned. Ended up just hanging up and blocking the number.

Just got a call from someone with a Geordie accent claiming there was some kind of utility fraud going on. Honestly, watch out for these scammers, they seem to be going after businesses now. Really dodgy!
