Over the past three days, I've gotten 10 calls. When I rang back, it was one of those automated voices checking if I’d got a letter. I said I had, then got another message telling me to sign up online for a free food package. We’ve actually been sorting these out for the last 8 weeks.

Tried calling this number but never manage to talk to anyone. I'm on the vulnerable register and signed up for free food deliveries, but they never turn up and there's no way to confirm if they're being sent to the right address. I live out in the sticks so my house is tricky to locate. Just want to find out what's going on.

If you got a letter saying you’re clinically extremely vulnerable, it’s a good idea to sign up online for any extra help you might need, like getting important food shopping brought to your door. Make sure you have your NHS number handy when you’re registering - you’ll find it at the top of the letter that told you about being clinically extremely vulnerable, or on any prescriptions you have.

Got a call from 08000288327 at about half past 11 in the morning, a lady said she was from the NHS. She asked if I’d got a letter from the government telling me I’m really important and should stay indoors. She was quite polite, asked if anyone was there to help me with shopping. I told her I had plenty of people who could help, then she just said alright and ended the call. Not sure if it was legit or some kind of scam.

Received a call around midday on a Saturday from an 03333 number. Initially, I assumed it was just another spam attempt, but as it turns out, it was the genuine article. They’re from the government support services reaching out to vulnerable groups to ensure we’re getting the assistance we require. I hadn’t received any correspondence via post, but I've now signed up online.

I got a text today from 0730 7810357 with an 0800 contact number. It claimed to be from the NHS about coronavirus, saying I was high risk and needed to stay home till the end of June. The message included a link that looked like the NHS site. Not sure if this is a scam or just a mix up by the NHS, but I have no health problems at all. Feels fishy to me.

This is an official message from the government, shown on their site to help those who are vulnerable. You can sign up for help by registering online or by calling 0800 028 8327. Make sure you have your NHS number ready when you do, you’ll find it at the top of the letter that told you’re clinically extremely vulnerable or on any meds.

I received a rather dubious phone call from someone claiming to represent the NHS, instructing me to contact 0800 0288327 if I required a food delivery. I made it clear that, as a vulnerable individual, I already have my grocery shop sorted with a weekly online delivery service and opted not to share any personal information. To my surprise, the very next day, another chap rang me up using the same tactic, so I informed him that I’d been in touch regarding food deliveries already. Interestingly, both calls originated from the number 0333 3050466. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Not sure if this is legit or not, but a police community officer told me never to share personal info over the phone no matter how official it seems coz loads of scammers pretend to be from the government. I’m proper confused since I’m quite vulnerable.

I was asked if I got a letter from the government telling me to stay home. Seemed alright at first, but then they wanted my NHS number and DOB for "security", which I didn’t share. They also asked if I was alright getting food and meds. They gave me a number to call if I needed help.

Got a call from this number, and it was the Government checking in on vulnerable folks. Seemed completely legit, they asked about any regular help I get with shopping and sorted out a weekly delivery for me. All good and felt safe.

This is not a scam, so people really should stop saying it is. Vulnerable folks are getting calls from this number and might miss out on support if they just ignore it. To those who are overly paranoid or insecure and jump to conclusions, please don’t spread fear that it’s a scam. If you’ve had a call and think it’s dodgy, you’re probably just missing out on valuable help being offered.

I received a legit NHS letter telling me to keep shielding, and it had the very same number as in the text. THIS IS NOT A SCAM. I've heard that a few folks got these calls by mistake because their info wasn't updated, but it's definitely not a scam. If you’re unsure, just ring your GP practice.

A woman called me on this number 03333050466 saying she was delivering food to vulnerable folks, then gave me this 0800 number to call back. She just hung up suddenly though. Looks like a total scam to me!

This service is really genuine, helping elderly and vulnerable folks who are stuck at home on their own. They deliver food parcels and send carers to help out anyone who needs it!

The website link is legit, and if you had bothered to look up the number, you'd see it's an authentic Coronavirus support line, listed on loads of gov.uk pages for folks with health issues!

Got a text with a link from this number, which turned out to be a premium one! They were trying to get my personal details, but luckily I spotted it in time and didn’t enter anything. It’s awful how some folks just send out fake info to scare people, especially with everything going on right now. Truly shameless behaviour.

this is a scam, uk_gov isnt real, the proper one is uk.gov. if you’re concerned, just ring your local gp surgery and they can tell you if you’re on any vulnerable register. the 0800 number is supposed to be the nhs one but i reckon it’s been taken over by scammers. some charlatans will do anything to get cash from you. i even lost a day’s wages thinking this email was legit before i figured out it was a con!

got a message from uk_gov warning me i'm at high risk and if i catch coronavirus i need to isolate at home for 3 months. it also told me to ring a certain number for more details and help. before that, i had a text from the same number about new covid19 guidelines.
