10 yearsWe had a rather pleasing experience with this company. Mr Wilson handled our claim and kept us in the loop throughout the entire process, which lasted about five and a half months from start to finish. In the end, we received a refund of £1,450 for payment protection premiums, which was our initial sell. While we could have pursued the full amount, we opted to accept the refund as we were keen to have the funds sooner rather than later.Wilson10 yearsSo, Karl, given that the company’s gone down the pan, how is it that the remark just below yours from the 19th of May has managed to attract a cheque? Are you perhaps a bit miffed that they haven’t gotten back to you yet?Karl10 yearsI've come across a company that claims to help you recover funds from credit card providers. They apparently hiked our limit without our consent to a new agreement. They've asked for a fee of £250 and claim they can resolve a £1500 claim within 14 weeks. The chap I spoke to was incredibly affable and straightforward, not at all aggressive. However, one can't help but wonder if it’s too good to be true.10 yearsInitially, we were rather doubtful about the whole process, but in January, we decided to hand over £250 to this company. Fast forward to now, and we've just received our cheque from MBNA, which covers all those payment protection premiums we’ve been shelling out on our credit card for the last five years; it's quite a significant sum! They did take a 10% cut from our payout, which we felt was reasonable, considering that other firms typically pocket around 30%, which is a much heftier chunk!MBNA11 yearsAt first, we were a tad uncertain about proceeding, but we decided to invest £250 with this company back in January. It was only after we checked in with MBNA about our premiums that we realised how much we had forked out for protection over the years, especially alongside our credit card! The figure was quite substantial! Now, this firm takes a modest 10% of our compensation, which seems reasonable in comparison. We’ve heard that other companies, which don’t charge an upfront fee, tend to pocket around 30% of the total, which is a considerably larger chunk.MBNA12 yearsI recently came across a company that helps you reclaim funds from your credit card providers after they hiked our limit without our consent. They’ve asked for a fee of £250 and assure a turnaround of just 14 days for a potential claim of £1,500. I must say, the chap I spoke with was incredibly amiable and not at all forceful in his approach, which I appreciated. Yet, it does make one wary-this whole deal feels a bit too good to be credible, doesn’t it?Submit Your Own Report (0800 028 7577)
