I keep getting calls from this number, and I’ve never been associated with HSBC, not at any point in time. Just a heads up to everyone to stay vigilant!

I have my doubts about these individuals; I reached out to HSBC's customer service last month, and they clarified that they never make calls or send text messages to their customers. So, I figured the best course of action was to report the number.

For the past couple of months, I've found myself inundated with phone calls-sometimes as many as four in a single day. It's become a right nuisance, and we've chosen to ignore them since we're already tied into an agreement with another company that's helping us manage our debt, which HSBC has acknowledged. This incessant ringing feels like a blatant form of harassment, and I'm seriously considering filing a complaint with the financial ombudsman. It's beyond frustrating, to say the least!

Absolutely, they claim to be from HSBC, but we’re not buying it; could be anyone really. Anyway, I’m having a bit of a hassle with the whole ‘HS banana republic’ situation!

I received a call from this number, which appears to be linked to HSBC. When I picked up, there was complete silence on the line. Naturally, I decided to call them back, only to be greeted by a recorded message claiming to be from HSBC. They then requested that I enter my credit card details. Quite concerning!

For the past month, we've been inundated with calls from this number, and it's becoming quite a nuisance. It seems like different individuals are phoning us each time, and they tend to do so both in the mornings and evenings. It's high time they ceased this persistent harassment!

I've received countless calls from this number, yet each time I answer, there's no one on the line. Quite frustrating, really!

Does anyone happen to know who might be calling from this number?

Naturally, it’s HSBC, isn’t it? The moment you fall behind on a payment or exceed your credit limit (believe me, I've been there more than once), they’ll relentlessly ring you without mercy until the balance is sorted. The key is to keep a close eye on your account, and soon enough, the calls will let up.

It’s clear this was not HSBC reaching out to us. After getting in touch with the actual bank, they confirmed there’s no record of any calls from these so-called representatives. Moreover, that number does not belong to them! It’s evident this is a dodgy outfit fishing for our personal information. When we confronted them and explained they’re not the bank, they simply hung up, only to disturb us again several hours later. Quite the bunch of fools, really!

I've tried ringing the bell several times, but it seems there's nobody on the other end.

This number has been relentlessly contacting us for the past couple of days, and we even received four rings from them this afternoon. We’ve taken the step to report this number directly to HSBC, so we hope they’ll investigate the matter thoroughly. It’s rather frustrating that now, when a legitimate HSBC representative tries to reach us, we’re left in doubt about whether to trust them or not. It’s my stance that all British banks should be based in the UK and not operate from abroad. When someone from overseas attempts to get information about your account, it raises several red flags and could potentially jeopardise your funds. So, we felt compelled to reach out to 'HSBC' regarding this issue.

We've received a barrage of calls from these folks over the past few days, and I'm utterly confused as to why HSBC would resort to using a recorded message right after asking for our card number. It all feels a bit dodgy, to say the least. What's baffling is that they don't seem to leave any indication about why they're calling or even suggest that we return the call, leaving us in the dark and wondering if they’ll just keep trying later. Honestly, I’m at a loss as to what to make of it all.

It seems we’ve been receiving numerous calls from these individuals claiming to represent HSBC regarding a credit card issue involving our associate. Despite our attempts to explain that she’s unavailable during the day, they simply hang up and ring us back a couple of hours later. Has anyone come across some helpful tips on how to halt these relentless calls, or perhaps any legal references we could mention when they inevitably call again? We’re fully aware that it’s a persistent annoyance.

I recently received a call from this number, which turned out to be associated with HSBC. When I picked up, there was nobody on the line, so I decided to dial the number again. On my return call, I heard a recorded message clearly identifying itself as HSBC, along with an instruction to enter my credit card number. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Is it possible that this number truly belongs to HSBC? They've reached out to us thrice today, yet we've chosen not to pick up. It’s difficult to fathom why a legitimate caller would be leaving a recorded message asking for our card details. Seems quite suspect, if you ask me!

I've been inundated with calls lately from numbers like 01257490045, 08000287281, 08003897812, 01226300104, 01226300100, and 01619519918 - all of which appear linked to HSBC. It's beyond frustrating, especially since we're in the red by £1.02 due to their failure to cancel a direct debit. It's an utter nuisance, to say the least!

We've had a few calls from this number over the last several days, and it's baffling to think that HSBC would be using a recorded message shortly after our card numbers were involved. When it genuinely is them, it raises questions as to why they wouldn't leave a message explaining why they were calling or ask us to call back at a more convenient time. It’s hard to tell what's real and what's not in this situation. Just feeling a bit unsure about it all.

This number is definitely dodgy! I'd advise against sharing any information with them. These folks are up to no good and could well compromise your account and drain your funds! For your own safety, steer clear of giving them your account details at all costs!

I can confirm this is for real. It's a debt collection agency working on behalf of HSBC. I've been receiving calls from this number both on my landline and on my mobile. So, I took to this site and came across a discussion linking it to HSBC. My partner has an HSBC credit card, and as soon as we prompted him to check his account, he realised he had indeed overlooked a payment that was due just a day before the calls began. Quite the coincidence, isn't it?

We've just received a call from the same lot. They had previously sent us a text masquerading as HSBC with a number to call back. Uncertain of its authenticity, we decided to reach out to HSBC using the number we already had on file. They confirmed it was indeed a scam. The number from the text was withheld, so no luck there!

This outfit is an absolute shambles; they really ought to be put out of business.

That's an HSBC credit card they're ringing about. If you happen to overlook a payment, they'll give you a bell to remind you.
