Honestly, it seemed like a total scam to me. The hold music was so awful it was laughable, and the letter I received looked really dodgy. Plus, when you ring the number, they don’t even say which bank it's supposed to be from. I wouldn’t bother calling back.

Sounds like a scam pretending to be NatWest. The message is pretty convincing, asking me to ring two different numbers but also says I can call the number on the back of my card, which makes it seem more legit.

SCAM ALERT! NEVER share your info with these callers. The positive reviews here are just fake posts by the scammers trying to trick you. They’ve tried to scam me out of my NatWest bank info more than once. If you get a message saying your card’s "blocked", ring the real NatWest fraud team using the number on their official website. DON’T ring the number in the text message, it’s a total fake! This number even plays a recording that sounds like NatWest’s fraud department, so don’t fall for it!

Honestly, I have no idea whats happening, not gonna lie im super confused.

This number is legit. I was trying to complete an online payment when Verified by Visa stopped it and showed this number. Felt a bit iffy so I rang the number on the back of my debit card and told them about the problem I had with the payment. They said there are more than 15 different fraud numbers, depending on the fraud type. When I gave them this phone number, they immediately said it was the Verified by Visa fraud line, even though I hadn’t mentioned that was the exact problem.

Its crazy how these so called "fraud departments" ask you to punch in your credit card info. Even bank staff pull this stunt. Banks are kinda helping the fraud problem by acting shady themselves, while expecting us to tell who’s legit and who isn’t. And when we mess up and give out info to the wrong people, suddenly its our fault. Surprised banks haven't sorted this out yet!

Sounds like a scam to me. I rang my NatWest (from another number) and they told me my card was frozen. Then they put me through to a fraud dept who sorted it out after I answered some questions. They never asked for any card info, so seemed legit. If you’re not sure, just ring your bank directly and they’ll help you out.
