I've just got a new phone number, only a couple of days old, and suddenly this number keeps calling me. I'm still waiting to get my PAC code sorted from my old network. Feels dodgy since I haven't shared my new number with anyone yet. Seems like they might be getting a hold of freshly activated numbers straight from the providers or something? Definitely doesn't seem legit.

This number kept ringing constantly, so annoying! I ended up blocking it along with some other numbers that kept spamming me. They call at the most ridiculous hours, both day and night. Absolute nightmare.

I'm fed up with these individuals. They keep calling and leaving numerous messages every day. I have never had any prior association with these individuals or provident, and our telephone number is registered with TPS. I can't help but wonder how these idiots managed to obtain our phone number. We never share our home phone number except with close family members!

I received a call today, but there was no one on the other end despite my inquiry. I chose to disconnect the call and have not received any further calls.

This is absolute rubbish, and they won't stop calling

I recently received a letter from Vanquis Bank regarding a loan I had taken out last year. Surprisingly, they failed to mention that they had acquired Provident, and I was completely unaware of this until I read the comments above.

We received several calls, but we are unsure about the reasons behind them.

I've had loads of calls from 08000198249, always saying they're from a bank and asking about someone called Sarah Woodford. Anyone else getting this? It's a bit worrying.

I'm plagued by automated calls that I receive two to three times a day, and it feels like an ongoing nightmare that I can't escape.

Provincial has recently been acquired by a different management. They have proved to be quite bothersome. I have been struggling to get rid of them for more than a year now, and it's extremely frustrating 😠.

I receive a call from this same number every single day, and it's always an automated message. Additionally, I receive one or two emails every day in my Yahoo account from them. Strangely, I am unable to block them.

I received two calls from Vanquis Bank, one on the 5th of July and another on the 6th of July in 2017. They claimed to be looking for Nicky Quinn. The call provided three options, with option 3 stating to press if they don't have access to my phone. I chose this option, but they still called me again the next day! Frustrated, I decided to call them back, and they assured me that they would remove my number from their database. However, I'm not very hopeful about their promise.

I have received calls from this number at least four times a day for the past week. I have been consistently ignoring the calls as the number does not belong to anyone on my contact list.

I'm extremely unhappy that you called my workplace number. It has caused serious discontent with my boss and could even result in disciplinary action against me. Considering that you have my mobile number, I urge you to use it for future calls instead.

I received a call on my work phone today! It is extremely frustrating because they call my mobile three to four times every day. I am not pleased with this situation.

I've been inundated with phone calls on my personal mobile, all asking for someone named Mrs Ambrose. Initially, I was quite courteous and informed the callers that they'd dialled the wrong number, yet the pleas for Mrs Ambrose just kept rolling in. Frustration soon bubbled to the surface, and every time the phone rang with the same request, I firmly insisted they take my number off their lists. I've had this mobile number for over five years now, mind you. This saga dragged on for more than a year, and now I'm even receiving texts. I responded rather harshly to one of them, making it perfectly clear that I'm not Mrs Ambrose. To my surprise, they fired back with an apology and then curiously asked if I could provide them with Mrs Ambrose's contact number. That prompted another irate text from me, in which I requested an address so I could send off a formal complaint. Unsurprisingly, I've yet to hear back from them. Upon reviewing the messages again, I noticed a link to something called Fresh Start at Vanquis Bank, and it’s crossed my mind to get in touch with them. However, I've got a hunch that this might all be some sort of scam, so I’m thinking about tracking down a proper address for Vanquis Bank. I want to verify that Fresh Start is a genuine outfit and to gain some clarity on why I'm being bombarded with these calls.
