Vanquis is utterly ridiculous. We’ve got a mere £38.00 outstanding, a matter I’ve already discussed with them, and do you know what? It costs seven pence per minute to have that conversation! Despite this, I'm still being bombarded with 4 to 5 calls from this number daily. What a bunch of muppets!

I'm afraid you've made an error there. Trevor Matthews wasn't the chief executive of Provident Financial; he's associated with a different company entirely. These two firms operate independently of one another. So, reaching out to Mr. Matthews won’t resolve your issues with Vanquis. I've been down this road before with the CEO of Capital One - every time I received a call or letter, I made sure to reach out, and wouldn’t you know it, the harassing calls and letters dried up! I'm currently applying the same strategy with this chap. Don’t hesitate to drop him a line; make it your business to email them every single time they reach out to you!

It's just like those Sanukk ones. We've got them set up to be rejected on the ring, so whenever they give us a bell, it silently cuts off the call. We do see they've tried to reach us, as the notifications pop up. Funny enough, they've already rung us four times today (Monday, 20th December) starting from around 9:15 in the morning!

I've been getting incessant calls from 08000192516 on my home phone, and each time it's the same deal - if I don't pick up, it just hangs up. It's clearly some automated system because when I do answer, they're searching for someone who doesn't live here. I made it quite clear that they needed to update their records and remove my number from their list. However, they were completely unhelpful, refusing to reveal their identity. After several attempts to get them to stop, they responded in a rather aggressive manner, claiming they'd continue to call, no matter what. I’m considering lodging a complaint with the Telephone Preference Service, given that I'm registered to avoid cold calls, so hopefully that will help put an end to this nonsense.
