This seemed a bit fishy to me. I tried buying something online and my credit card got rejected three times in a row. I assumed I was on the Costco website, but now I'm not so sure. After that, I got told my card was frozen and I needed to call a certain number. I didn’t call it straight away. Later, I got a voicemail asking me to ring back that same number, so I thought I’d better verify it. Turns out it didn’t match the fraud number my bank uses when I searched online. Be careful! Don’t share any details with them. Always double-check with your actual bank first.

On Thursday, the 11th of May 2023, I got a rather peculiar call from 0800 015 3295, claiming that there had been a dodgy transaction involving my credit card (R. B. o S.). However, upon contacting my credit card provider, they assured me that there had been absolutely no such transaction! Then, on Friday, the 12th of May 2023, to my surprise, the same number buzzed me not once, but twice! I've since decided to block it on my mobile and have removed any trace of it. Quite the nuisance, indeed!

I recently had a phone call from this number, and I'm quite baffled as to how they managed to obtain my name. They purport to be from RBS, but I urge anyone who receives a call from them to refrain from sharing any personal information. If your bank genuinely needs to contact you, they'll do so via your banking app or send you a letter in the post. Let's all be vigilant and not fall prey to these scammers!

I received a call supposedly from RBS, and I must admit, it felt rather plausible as a female-sounding automated voice was calling out my first name, prompting me to select options like "press 1" or "press 2" to verify the name. I decided to end the conversation when they requested my date of birth; it turned into a rather dodgy scenario, as they listed "press 1 for 1990, press 2 for 1991," and so on. Just a few hours later, they rang me once more. Quite suspicious, to say the least!
