10 yearsThis is definitely a scam, they keep ringing from loads of different numbers. They told my elderly mum they were from BT and she ended up paying £84.99 for a lifetime deal. Then, about a year later, they called back saying they were from IT Protect and tried to get her to renew for another fee. When my mum said no, the woman on the phone actually got quite cross with her. My mum told me what went down and I reported it to trading standards and the special police team that handle these kinds of scams. Sadly, it was too late to get her money back.
