I received a rather alarming call indicating that my phone number was linked to a fraudulent Social Security Number. The caller warned me that if I didn’t take action, their legal team would commence proceedings against me for operating under a fake business name that shares this SSN. Quite frankly, it’s all rather bewildering and leaves me feeling anxious about what’s really going on!

I've recently discovered that this phone number is being exploited to swindle individuals out of their hard-earned cash. The callers purport to be from Barclays Bank, attempting to extract sensitive banking information, only to then raid your account. It's imperative that action is taken to shut this down immediately. There needs to be a more stringent process in place to ensure that these sorts of numbers are not allocated without thorough checks.

Absolute scam. Got a call from a woman with a strong English accent claiming she worked at a call centre. She pretended she was there to stop fraud and wanted to gather some info from me. Next thing you know, she was pushing me to use my pinsentry app or transfer money to confirm a payment. Total trick to steal your cash. Don’t fall for it!

Got a text claiming to be from Barclays saying my card was blocked due to suspicious activity, so I rang the number they provided. The hold music was just like the real Barclays website, which made me trust it. An automated voice asked for my sort code and account number, then I got connected to a friendly lady with a proper English accent who said she’d fix things. But she ended the call suddenly, which felt odd, so I checked my account immediately and noticed £900 had been withdrawn. What a fool I’ve been!

I recently received a call from the number mentioned in a message, during which they requested my account information as someone had apparently made an online purchase for £1600 at John Lewis. They proceeded to ask for my pin sentry identification number, and when I declined, their tone turned quite aggressive. Feeling uneasy, I decided to visit my bank, where they confirmed it was indeed a scam. Just a heads up to others - be cautious!

They promptly requested my pin sentry identification number, but when I firmly declined to provide it, their tone shifted dramatically, becoming quite disrespectful. Feeling uneasy, I decided to head over to my bank, and they confirmed it was indeed a scam. Just a heads up to everyone - stay vigilant!

Warning! Got a call saying my Barclays debit card was blocked due to fraud and told me to ring 08000112598 right away or +448000112598. They said not to text back either. After talking to them, I rang Barclays directly using the number on their official website, and they said it was a scam. Don’t dial those numbers they give you! If you’re ever unsure, always use contact details straight from Barclays’ website.
