I've received that identical message as well, despite the fact that I haven't applied for anything. I contacted Barclays using their official contact number, and after a bit of a language barrier, the chap I spoke to reassured me that the message was indeed legitimate, claiming to be from BARCLAYS. However, he confirmed that I had not initiated a loan application at all. Just moments ago, I got another text from the number +44 7366 507093, and it was word-for-word the same as before. Bizarre, isn’t it?

I received a message from this number purporting to verify a loan application with Barclays. The thing is, I haven't applied for any loan at all! Quite suspicious, if you ask me.
