I got a similar message even though I never applied for anything. When I rang Barclays on their real number, the guy there (though his English was a bit rough) told me the text was legit and really from Barclays, but he checked and said I hadn’t actually requested any loan. Just got the very same SMS once again, this time from +44 7366 507093 with the same exact wording.
