I got this exact message as well. I never asked for a loan, and the phone number isn’t one of Nat West’s at all.

Got a text on my phone saying they'd get back to me about a loan in a few days. Thing is, I never applied for any loan at all. The message said if I didn’t recognise it, to ring NATWEST on 0800-00-96-329. Seems fishy to me. The caller ID matched that number too: 08000096329. Really dodgy sounding.
